Well, the boys know that J-honny Peralta has never been my favorite player - in fact, I think he sucks.
Sure, he hits some home runs - at least in past years - but his defense is like old people’s food, BLAND (Didn’t Wedgie say he was “the master of the routine play”) WHAT??? I wonder if Joe Torre ever said that about Jeter when he was with the Yankees.
Anyway, apparently he’s getting even worse now cause Wedgie is now bad mouthing him in public - saying he’s talked to him numerous times (thank God, I wondered what was going on all this time) but nothing changes.
Apparently, J-honny doesn’t seem to care - he’s got that big contract so what the helk. (No typo, that’s one of my word inventions).
Kelly Shoppach is also taking some heat from Wedgie He just got a million dollar raise this year too.
So, the question is —- have we wasted more money on players that Mark Shipiro overvalued talent wise (see *M* post on Guthrie) or are the players talented but have just tuned Wedgie out?
(BTW - Fox 8 poll tonight, 73% of fans say Wedgie should be fired).
Add your comments, but I’m afraid it could be a little of both. Well, on second thought, they have definitely tuned Wedgie out — fundamental base running mistakes, stupid plays, etc.
Last night Trevor Crowe was on second with one out, there was a ground ball hit to the shortstop — right in front of him. Baseball 101 says that you wait or start to head back to second on that play but are prepared to break for third it if goes through.
Crowe broke for third immediately and got caught in a run-down and was tagged out. Terrible baseruning, bad fundamentals. Even the Indians announcers - especially Tom Hamilton - bad mouthed Crowe on that play
They got swept by the Brewers, now 10 games under 500. Indians baseball is quickly becoming a circus - with J-honny and Kelly the main performers on center stage.
