The Draft

I listened to the Cavs press conferences last night with Ferry and Chris Grant (Assistant GM) and Mike Brown, so really, aside from being there to ask questions, I’m really as capable of reporting on the picks as someone from a newspaper.

Coldstone really just talked about Shaq while Ferry and Grant discussed the players they chose. Expectations should be low - the Turkish guy is going to stay there, but Ferry was non-commital on where Eyenga would be this season despite referring to things like a “development plan.” And it sounds like Green is going to have to fight to make the team.

At least that’s what Ferry is saying publicly. I imagine they’re trying to manage expectations of the fans and the players, too.

I don’t know what precisely the statistical analysis is, but there is some evidence to suggest that Green was a major steal. John Hollinger, ESPN’s stat guy, had him at #12 overall.
