C’Mon Man, Drop It

I think it’s time for this story to die.  You know, some college kid named Crawford dunked on LeBron during a pickup basketball game.  So, let’s interview the kid on TV and the radio.

OK, now let’s try to make it a controvey by telling eveyone that Nike took the tapes - maybe, some hinted, after LBJ spoke to the Nike reps.

Is it true?  Probably, at least it is certainly possible.

My response — so what?

In an age when we have athletes behaving badly, like  - McNair, Stallworth, Sosa, Vick — this dunk video shouldn’t even be an issue.  Am I protective of LeBron?

Probably.

Was it childish or disappointing that maybe — maybe — he talked the Nike guys into confiscating the tape.

I guess so

But does it need to be on every newscast?  Do they need to make “I dunked on LeBron” t-shirts. (BTW -That’s a great money maker, I wonder if LBJ thought of that himself).  Does it need all this coverage?  Does this make LBJ a bad person?

Nope, maybe it proves he’s not perfect but, he’s better than most other millionaires his age, that’s for sure.

So…….

C’mon Man - drop it

P. S.  I hope they are recording the next time this Crawford guy tries to dunk over LeBron - pickup game or otherwise.  My guess is that video will be very popular and the results much different.

Crawford might regret granting all these interviews.
