As some of you may know, Brian Windhorst is reporting that the Cavs are looking at Rob Kurz, PF out of Notre Dame, who played one year with Golden State as a possible bargain alternative at the 4.
I know many of you will admire Kurz for two infallible reasons - the first being that he’s white, the second being that he went to Notre Dame and maybe even hangs out with Brady Quinn - so my snap analysis may be useless…but here it is:
Kurz’s 3PT FG% — 39.5%
Kurz’s 2PT FG% — 38.9%
That’s right, Kurz - at 6’9” - actually shoots worse from 2 than he does from 3.
For the Cavs, based on last year’s numbers Kurz would be an average 3PT shooter - but above average for the league.
From two…well, I don’t really want to talk about that. And neither does Kurz’s agent.
