Well, to all my fans, I am back from vacation — and my bout with the H1N1 flu - to my first love, Jose Mesa Is Dead. (I’m kidding about the H1N1 part, but not the flu part. That’s an entirely different post on our new medical blog).
So, just a short post from me, cause I’m still regaining my writing strength — but, I have to tell you that I love the sneaky move Danny Ferry pulled off over the weekend. Yes, signing “The Other Moon Walker” (yes, I just made up that nickname) to an offer sheet while the Heat are waiting for an answer on their own offer sheet for Odom is brilliant — and even better, pretty sneaky.
Not only is JMoon (yep, I’m on a roll) a pretty good player who fills a need for the Cavs, but by signing him, it prevents the Heat from using him in any kind of a sign and trade for Odom, Boozer, or anyone for that matter. It also means that the Heat probably won’t have the money to match the Cavs offer.
So, it helps the Cavs, hurts the Heat, and Danny Ferry was sneaky about it. That is an awesome combination. I love it.
Now, we won’t find out how it ends until Friday — but, regardless being sneaky is always fun.
Holla
and Go Cavs!
Dad
(I was kidding about the medical blog too, but you knew that, right?)
