News Flash: Commissioner Bud Selig announced today that the title won by the Red Sox in 2007 has been rescinded due to the recently disclosed drug usage of both Manny and Big Papi. Since it was obvious that the Cleveland Indians were the second best team in MLB that year, he then awarded the Tribe the World Series title for that year.

BTW - In 2007, Big Papi said that when he was younger, he bought some protein shakes in the Dominican Republic, but didn’t know if they contained performance enhancing drugs. (What???)
Here’s his quote; “I don’t do that anymore because they don’t have the approval for that here, so I know that, so I’m off buying things at the GNC back in the Dominican Republic,” Ortiz told The Boston Herald. He added: “I don’t know if I drank something in my youth, not knowing it.”
I didn’t realize those little countries had advanced at least as far as the US when it comes to steroids — in milkshakes, no less.
Of course, Red Sox Nation says anyone can make a mistake, so the fact that he tested positive starting in 2003 is no big deal. Of course, Mike, Tim and I will tell you we feel the same way about Red Sox Nation — no big deal.
I wonder if there is a suggestion box on the Major League Baseball website? Bud Selig has done some wacky things, you know — hmmm, I gotta go.
