Short Monday morning post from me - I simply want to raise a question. How does everyone feel the Roethlisberger rape case is getting treated in the media in comparison to the Vick case and the Kobe case?
After a couple days - and that silly finger-wagging press conference he held - I haven’t heard a whole lot. Now, I’m a firm believer that any and all situations of this nature should be treated in an innocent until proven guilty manner - and the circumstances in Roethlisberger’s case are different than in Kobe and Vick’s, i.e. civil vs. criminal - but it sure seems to me like the media is giving Big Ben a pass.
My question is why?
One viewing of a Pardon the Interruption episode that involves Roethlisberger will show you he’s a media darling, but you also have to believe it doesn’t hurt that he’s a white Super Bowl-winning quarterback.
Your thoughts, please…
