I’m really bummed about Mesa fav Delonte West’s arrest today - I’m sure we will cover it in detail as more information becomes available. Since I’m trying not to think about the ramifications for the team and — more importantly - for DWest, I thought I’d fill you in on a radio interview I heard the other day on the Tony Rizzo (The Big Show) broadcast on WKNR.
Buzz Bissinger, the guy who helped LeBron write his book “Shooting Stars”, was being interviewed about the book and his interaction with LBJ. However, before he ended the interview, Rizzo couldn’t resist getting Buzz’s thoughts on the future plans of “The Shooting Star”, LeBron James
Disclaimer: This information is presented only as a point of discussion. Do I believe Buzz has inside information - naw. I wanted to post this stuff - it’s another man’s opinion, that’s all
Warning - Dad paraphrases - Warning
Rizzo: Do you think LBJ will leave?
Buzz: “I don’t think LeBron honestly knows himself right now”
Buzz: “LBJ loves Cleveland and the city of Akron, make no mistake about that”
Buzz: “I think if he wins a title this year, he will leave”
Buzz: “I think David Stern is a manipulator, he knows that its important for the league to have a viable franchise in NYC, so he’ll try to get LBJ to go to the Knicks”
Buzz: “Loyalty is all important to LeBron. That is why still hangs out with all of his buddies from high school. They became his family in high school - he’s still loyal to them”.
Buzz: “LeBron’s goal is still to be the first billionaire athlete, so that goal will be what drives any decision he makes”.
Did he cover any new ground, no? But, I thought it was interesting to hear his thoughts. Got a comment?
Holla Back
Oh, one other thing, LeBron was signing copies of his book tonight at Borders in Westlake. Why do I mention it? Cause he had that hat on - no, not the Yankees hat - he was proudly displaying Chief Wahoo on his head. Hilarious - I wonder what he wore when he was in Paris?
