Sad, Sad State of Affairs

How far our Indians have fallen, not only into the basement of the worst division in baseball - but far from the hearts and thoughts of whatever fans are left out there.  No, even I haven’t watched one of their games in weeks - I can’t expect anyone to watch a team that has completely collapsed.  Their fan base is completely disgusted.

How do I know this is true?  Because today, in The Morning Journal, the story on last night’s Indian’s game - yet another loss in this pitiful September - was at the bottom of the front page of the sport section. What was above it you ask??

A story about the freakin LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS playoff run.  That’s right - The Morning Journal decided that their readers would rather see a story about a sub-minor league playoff game than their own major league baseball team!!

This is a sad, sad state of affairs.  Stuff like this should spur the Dolans into making some dramatic moves - and soon.  Wedge should be fired first, followed by all his cronies.  They need a fresh look at talent and team direction.

If that doesn’t happen, look for the “Crushers” to keep getting top billing and the Tribe to fall further into oblivion - it’s a sad, sad state of affairs.

Did I say that already?
