My “Fear the Elf” column last week was part enthusiasm and part hope the we could finally beat the damn Steelers. Well, it wasn’t meant to be - our lack of NFL talent was evident today. We just don’t have any play makers. We don’t have anyone - except maybe Joe Thomas and Shawn Rodgers - that would be a starter on a good NFL team.
Even with that very evident fact, we didn’t get blown out. We were one or two plays away from putting a hurt on those guys.
Yeah, I’m tired of being satisfied with just being competitive — but, it does seem like we are playing harder, buying into the system a little bit more each week. Robiskie made a catch today, more of our young players are starting to actually play in the game. We actually scored an offensive touchdown today.
So, Alpha Dog has a long, long way to go - we need a major talent upgrade. I guess it’s a little early to fear the elf (whose official name is really Brownie) but maybe we can say we’re improving.
Yeah, that’s right, we are getting better - so, dare I say it?
Cheeseheads - be slightly concerned about Brownie!
Now I feel better.
Oh yeah - Holla
Dad
