Fear the Elf - DC Style

I always thought Delonte was a good player.  I’ve been a fan of his, especially during these recent tough times.  I’ve read M and T’s comments about how vital he was to the Cavs and shook my head in agreement.  I’ve been watching basketball for a long time, so I get it.

However, after his game against the Bucks last Sunday — I am now a true believer.  In fact, I’m in ”jumping up and down, pumping my fist” agreement with them.  He was awesome.

You’ve probabled noticed that many of my feelings are sparked by the personalities involved.  You know my feelings on DWest.  However, I think the other thing that got me excited was who he was schooling at least part of the time - Luke Ridnour.

In past years, it would drive me crazy when that puny little white guy would shoot three pointers and get all kinds of assists against my team.  I could never figure out why he looked like AI when he played the Cavs.

So, you can imagine the smile on my face as I watched Delonte post up ”little skywalker” and take him to the hole several times.  I think they had to eventually take him out of the game — at least that what I wanted to believe.  No perplexing wild ass assists or wide open threes for him on Sunday.  That was the matchup that made my day.

Funny - Austin and Fred never mentioned it.

Lastly, you might be wondering about the title.  It’s in no way meant to be a put down on Delonte - I want that to be perfectly clear.  However, I have this image in my mind that won’t go away - based on the new facial hair he is sporting.

So, take a quick glance at the picture above — then, scroll down and tell me if you see any resemblance.

Technically, he’s not an elf, I know — but, get DWest a hat like that and ……

I’m Back - Holla
