Yes, Delonte was back with a vengence tonight and it was great to see. He was playing tough defense, driving to the hoop, passing to his teammates — generally playing like the Delonte of last year.
At one point, after getting knocked to the floor on a driving layup — he was fouled and had the presence of mind to look into the camera and say “I love this game.” Classic stuff, classic Dellonte, classic Cavs basketball.
As you know, he makes the team so much better, I just hope the team can return the favor and make him better too, both mentally and physically. Cause without him they are not the same - with him playing well, they can be a very good team.
