Collection of Browns Tweets

I’m trying to get excited about football season, but I’m not going to lie - it’s hard. Much of this stems from my belief that very few people can accurately analyze a football team until they start playing for real. I don’t know enough about the coach’s schemes (which they keep secret anyway), the new personnel, and the complicated ways in which all of these elements will interact to offer a proper assessment right now. When you consider that the complex system that is the Cleveland Browns can only be measured up against an opponent with a system that will be just as complicated, the pro football analysis game during the pre-season is, well, outside of my pay grade.

This is why you will never see us writing shit on this website like “I’m worried about the Browns run defense.”

How can we be? We have no idea how the whole thing will work once it’s put together - and neither does anyone else.

Having said that, we do try to stay as informed as possible. Post-Alpha Dog is great to listen to in his press conferences. Although there have been no revelations in the same vein as the Darth Vader mask he Skypes with, we have learned that Rob Ryan lives outside of the box.

With all of this in mind, here is a collection of Browns-related tweets about training camp so far. If these get you excited about football in August, well, you are a different breed of human being than me:

jsbrownsinsider Dave Zastudil is being checked out by his personal doctor. The Browns punter is recovering from right (plant leg) pectoral surgery.

OfficialBrowns   Mangini on James Davis: He had two really good blocks in the one-on-one pass rush drills.

ABJ_Browns   #Browns met for film and body conditioning Tuesday when they had practice off, coach Eric Mangini said. #NFL

OfficialBrowns   Congratulations to @DanPilar of Eastlake, OH for winning our #BrownsTrainingCamp #Tweetstakestoday! http://yfrog.com/jxkijvj

ABJ_Browns   I can’t spot #Browns RB Peyton Hillis on the field. He sat out during Monday evening’s practice. #NFL

OfficialBrowns   #Browns conducting kickoff coverage drills, focusing on kickoffs after a safety

SI_PeterKing   RT @Suman_Vellanki: @SI_PeterKing Is Mangini still coaching the Browns in 2011? … How in the heck do I know?

ABJ_Browns   Turnovers so far in the #Browns’ 2nd practice of day: Seneca Wallace threw an interception & Mohamed Massaquoi fumbled.

OfficialBrowns   #Browns tight ends backs and linebackers get round of applause from fans after completing blocking drill

OfficialBrowns   Running backs working with a medicine ball during blocking drill at #BrownsTrainingCamp

I’ll say one thing for sure - the Official Browns feed should consider hiring me to write the kind of bullshit I write on Facebook for them. First tweet would look something like this:

OfficialBrowns Joe Haden + Josh Cribbs conversing with two drunk girls on sidelines. Strip club scene coming soon, so long as Cribbs doesn’t drop passes in afternoon drills. #NFL
